Last year we had a Sugar Maple 🍁 (that’s the primary kind of Maple that is tapped for Maple Syrup) come down. We were able to salvage a huge 9 foot log and had our Amish neighbors up the road saw it into 2” thick slabs. We’re using the two best slabs for the front of the cabin (on either side of the door) where we’ll have bar stools and you can sit and look out to see the river. In this quick video Matt points out how we’re framing the kitchen area including one of those maple slabs.
